Terms & Conditions
A Legal Disclaimer
Welcome to VRL Movers and Packers. These Terms and Conditions (the "Agreement") govern the relationship between VRL Movers and Packers (the "Company," "we," "us," or "our") and the individual or entity engaging our services (the "Client," "you," or "Customer").
By signing the Quotation, paying a booking advance, or allowing our team to commence the packing process, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.
DEFINITIONS AND INTERPRETATIONS
-
"Article": Refers to any discrete item, box, or piece of furniture. If multiple items are packed into a single carton, that carton is legally considered one "Article" for liability purposes.
-
"Goods": All items, furniture, or effects for which relocation services are rendered.
-
"Relocation Services": The spectrum of services including professional packing, loading, hauling, transportation, unloading, and unpacking.
-
"Quotation": The formal financial and service estimate provided to the Client based on the initial inventory assessment.
QUOTATIONS, PRICING, AND VALIDITY
-
Validity Period: Every Quotation remains open for acceptance for a period of 15 days. After this window, the Company reserves the right to withdraw or revise the pricing based on current fuel rates and labor availability.
-
Inventory Accuracy: Our pricing is strictly based on the volume and nature of the goods declared. Should the actual volume on the day of the move exceed the declared inventory, the Company shall apply additional charges proportionally.
-
Unforeseen Costs: The Quotation excludes any unforeseen government-imposed taxes, Octroi, Mathadi (Labor Union) charges, Green Tax, or Tolls that may arise during transit. These shall be billed at actuals.
PAYMENT PROTOCOLS
-
Booking Deposit: A non-refundable token advance is required to confirm the slot and mobilize resources.
-
Payment Schedule: For all domestic relocations, 100% of the total invoice value must be cleared before the vehicle leaves the origin point. The Company reserves the right to halt the vehicle in transit or withhold delivery if payment is not cleared.
-
Modes of Payment: We accept UPI, Bank Transfers (NEFT/IMPS), Cash, and Credit/Debit Cards. Please note that card payments may attract a convenience fee as per bank norms.
PROHIBITED AND RESTRICTED ARTICLES
-
VRL Movers and Packers strictly prohibits the transportation of the following. If hidden in packages, the Client assumes all legal and financial liability:
-
Valuables: Currency, Jewelry, Bullion, Precious Stones, Deeds, Passports, and Negotiable Securities.
-
Hazardous Goods: Filled Gas Cylinders, Acids, Paints, Thinners, Petrol, Fireworks, and Explosives.
-
Perishables: Fresh food, vegetables, or liquids that may leak and damage the rest of the consignment.
-
Prohibited Items: Narcotics, Contraband, or any items banned by Indian Federal or State laws.
PACKING AND LOADING STANDARDS
-
Quality Commitment: We utilize high-grade corrugated sheets, bubble wrap, and stretch film to ensure maximum protection.
-
Owner-Packed Goods (PBO): For items packed by the Client (Packed By Owner), the Company assumes zero liability for internal damages, as we cannot verify the standard of internal cushioning used.
-
Fragile Handling: While we handle fragile items with extreme care, high-value glass or marble tops may require mandatory "Crating" at an additional cost to ensure safety.
TRANSIT, DELIVERY, AND FORCE MAJEURE
-
Timeline Estimates: While we strive for punctuality, any delivery timeline provided is a reasonable estimate. We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, vehicle breakdowns, or border checks.
-
Force Majeure: VRL Movers and Packers shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or delay caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to: Earthquakes, Floods, Heavy Rainfall, Pandemics, Civil Unrest, Riots, or Government-mandated lockdowns.
COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE AND CLAIMS
-
Mandatory Risk Coverage: We strongly advise all Clients to opt for Transit Insurance. If the Client chooses not to insure the goods, the relocation is executed at "Owner's Risk."
-
Reporting Damages: * Household Goods: Any external damage must be noted on the Packing List/POD (Proof of Delivery) at the time of unloading. Written claims must be submitted within 24 hours of delivery.
-
Automobiles: Any scratches or dents must be reported before the driver leaves the delivery site.
-
Mechanical/Internal Exclusion: We do not cover internal mechanical or electrical failures of appliances (TVs, Refrigerators, ACs) unless there is clear evidence of external physical impact to the body of the appliance during transit.
CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Permissions: The Client must obtain all necessary gate passes and permissions from Housing Societies or Office Managements for both the Origin and Destination.
-
Floor Access: Our standard quotes assume the use of a service elevator. Shifting via stairs beyond the 2nd floor will attract "Long Carry" or "Staircase" charges.
-
Verification: It is the Client’s duty to verify the inventory list before the truck is sealed and to ensure no items are left behind at the origin premises.
GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
-
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes, controversies, or claims arising out of this relocation service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the city where our Registered Office is located.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT
-
By availing the services of VRL Movers and Packers, you confirm that you have read this 12-point Agreement and agree to abide by all its clauses for a smooth and secure relocation experience.
